New Irish Communities with Mark Granier
Whether you are a non-native English speaker and entirely new to creative writing,
Or have previously written in another language but are new to writing in English, this course is aimed at helping you to find and explore your voice.
The emphasis will be on producing new pieces of writing, crafting effective and imaginative sentences, learning how to be attentive to words and finding ways to surprise readers (including ourselves). Participants should be reasonably fluent in English, e.g. be able to read a newspaper or write a letter.
The facilitator, Mark Granier has a MA in Poetry/Creative Writing from Lancaster University and
has been teaching creative writing for UCD's Adult Education Department for several years. This "ONE WEEK" course is provided at a subsidised rate thanks to funds from Dublin City Council.
Starting Wednesday 7th May 6.30pm–8.30pm, Duration: 6 Weeks - and Cost: €80
