LIR Anti-racism Training and Education offers free training programmes in diversity and tolerance.

They are offering LIVING IN A DIVERSE SOCIETY - FETAC LEVEL 3
Purpose:

The training defines the learning outcomes, which participants should achieve in order to deal positively with cultural differences and diversity in their daily lives. It aims to promote the development of the personal qualities of mutual tolerance and acceptance.
Projected General Outcomes:
- Raise awareness and understanding of Ireland migration/immigration history
- Understand legal definitions and terms
- Have an awareness of culture and diversity
- Increase understanding of key concepts relating to stereotyping, and prejudice
- Understand discrimination, racism and Institutional racism
- Participants will acquire skills and knowledge which will assist in their daily lives
Course Content:
- The history of Migration/Immigration
- Legal definitions Refugees and Asylum Seekers
- Culture and Diversity
- Stereotypes and Prejudice
- Legal definitions of Discrimination
- Individual and Institutional Racism

Time: 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm At: 11 Meath Street, Dublin 8
