St. Andrew's Day Celebration
24 November 2013

The Polish Community Centre and the Polish Scouting Association will celebrate "Andrzejki" - Saint Andrew's Day on Nov 24, 2013.
This tradition has its roots in the past (since 1557) and is focused on superstitions and future telling. In the past, Polish people strongly believed that this day gave opportunity to know the future. During this magic day, there are rituals for fun rather than to gain insight into their futures. The goal is to show Saint Andrew’s Day as a great opportunity to integrate children and families, and give an opportunity to others to get to know Polish culture
