Dun Laoghaire Rathdowne Ethnic Minority Integration Forum celebrate's 2014 Social Inclusion Week by hosting "Global Village Project" in Dun Laoghaire from 11th - 18 October 2014
‘The Global Village’ in the Concourse, County Hall, in conjunction with our partners - Southside Partnership DLR and the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Council, Social Inclusion Unit. At this three day exhibition local, ethnic minority-led organisations will showcasing their traditional culture, crafts, food, clothing, music etc. Group can have an information stand or create a unique scene that reflects your home country, which best describes your ethnic group or background. We are open to all ideas.
Throughout the event we are going to facilitate small presentations that bring alive the richness of cultural diversity in the County. You can be a part of this event by presenting your own ethnic group to the general public. It could be, storytelling for instance ‘Story of [your ethnic group] in Ireland’, Musical showcase, traditional dance, recreate a Mosque or whatever you think best describes your culture and ethnicity.
