Government Launches New Work Scheme for Jobseekers & New Graduates

The Government launched Jobbridge, the National Internship Scheme, to give jobseekers the opportunity to gain work experience in the workplace. If you are a new entrant to the labour market after education or training or are unemployed and wish to learn new skills then Jobbridge can give you a real opportunity to gain valuable experience in your chosen career to bridge the gap between study and the working live.

  • Employment is for for 6-9 months in the private or public sector
  • To apply a person should be unemployed for at least 3 months and in receipt of Jobseekers Benefit, Jobseekers Allowance or signing for credits.
  • Payment: Basic social welfare plus top up of €50.
